Pricing, No-Result, Correction, and Refund Expectations
Summary: PremiumVIN’s core Vehicle History Report is priced at $25 per report [confirm current price against live pricing page before publishing]. This page sets expectations for what happens when a report or check returns limited results, and what your options are for correction or a refund. Vehicle data aggregation involves multiple source systems, and no single provider can guarantee complete records for every vehicle. We are transparent about what we can deliver, what we cannot, and how we handle situations where results fall short of expectations. |
Pricing
The standard Vehicle History Report is priced at $25. The basic VIN Decoder specification lookup is free. For the standard Window Sticker is priced at $19.99.
Prices are subject to change. The price displayed at checkout is the final price for your purchase.
If a Report or Check Returns Limited Results
A thin or partial result is not a billing error by itself — it may simply reflect genuine data unavailability for that specific vehicle (see Why Vehicle Data May Be Missing or Incorrect). Before assuming something went wrong, check whether the vehicle’s make, model year, or vehicle type falls into a lower-coverage category described in Coverage, Supported Vehicles, and Data Availability.
When a Correction, Regeneration, or Refund May Apply
| Situation | Likely outcome |
|---|---|
| Source data genuinely does not exist for this vehicle | Explained to you; not eligible for correction, since there is nothing to retrieve |
| A data provider or generation fault caused a wrong or missing result | Report or check is corrected and regenerated at no additional cost |
| You entered the wrong VIN, plate, or state | Corrected once the right identifier is confirmed; may require a new report |
Correction Policy
If a report contains an error that can be corrected, we will review and address it.
Correction requests may be appropriate when:
The VIN was entered incorrectly and the report shows the wrong vehicle
A decoded field (e.g., make, model, year) conflicts with the physical vehicle
A listing or image appears to belong to another vehicle
A mileage entry appears to contain a transcription error
You have supporting documents that demonstrate an error
Important information was omitted despite available evidence
